Google Syncing on iCal

I am a diehard Apple and Google user, but where the two meet in iCal has been a constant source of frustration for me. I had seemingly no control of which of my shared calendars showed up in iCal (I hate getting other people’s notifications). This is a problem no longer, I found a link in some Google documentation that has revolutionized my experience. Here is the life changing link:

This allows exactly what I have been looking for all along. I now have full control over what is synced on iCal and on iOS. It is AMAZING!!
